Alain,

In my version, MM setting, trying to replicate your problem. What Settings of Composer do you have? Using HTML (Markdown)?

With an open message window (View>Layout>Preview or View>Layout>Preview at Right) selects any settings of my secondary html window. Are you using that by chance? It allows on/off adjustment made to that secondary window.

Adjusting a new message window size larger or smaller sticks fine for me when opening and closing the app, regardless of display of a secondary window.

I normally use Correspondence display on the main window. You?

Given the above condition attempted, I cannot replicate your issue on my set up in any MM versions previously mentioned, in Sequoia 15.6.1.
