All,
FYI, this is not an answer to using MM with SpamSieve, however I do have
slightly off-topic suggestions and comments to two questions posed here
about junk mail filtering:
1. Try contacting Benny directly posting suggestions to the address for
that stating which version you use and requesting the suggestions you
made here.
2. If you have a spare computer to use as a SpamSieve server for your
IMAP (or MIME) accounts you can do as I have done pre-MM. My Junk filter
running on Mail.app on MacMini M1 also serves as a net backup for local
backup and two other computers.
3. You should be aware that SpamSieve is a scripting based application.
It uses a different set up from MailMate (code-based). That has and
continues to successfully service all my computers’ backups and all my
accounts junk mail filtering very, very well. The developer of SpamSieve
doesn’t support M-M, but does support his app standing alone on Mail.
4. [Michael Tsai’s developer
support](https://c-command.com/spamsieve/) for SpamSieve and updates for
updates with new versions of MacOS has been invaluable to keeping Mail,
MacOS happy with SpamSieve. Highly recommended.
NB, Not a sales pitch for anything, just sharing some background and
user info that may prove helpful to anyone looking for junk filtering in
M-M and especially with incorporating SpamSieve. I have had continued
success using this approach, it was recommended to me by Michael.
Respectfully,
Henry Seiden
