Yes, I had to modify the from address (which then corresponded to a
different account) to make sure it sent from the correct one.

Hmm, so maybe MM keeps a notion of the most recently used from address
to use when a new blank message is created.
Still, this is not the behavior I want. If I have an account/identity
with the same domain part as the To: address of the new message, I want
that identity chosen. Every time.
