[MlMt] Is anyone having trouble with using custom identities?

I’ve tried to use a custom identity a couple of times recently, and it 
hasn’t worked. What happens is particularly frustrating. I will enter 
something like this:

	Joe Blow <joeblow at bitbucket.com>

But when I send the mail, what the recipient actually sees is:

	Joe Blow <chaimk at umich.edu>

Which is *my* real email address. And also becomes the Reply-To address. 
Is it something I’m doing wrong or can anyone replicate this? Thanks.
