[MlMt] What takes time at startup?

When starting MailMate it does something. For a very long time.

I now checked after rebooting my laptop and it required 8 min and 20 sec of CPU-time before the window of MailMate was visible.

This after a clean shutdown.

Wall clock time was of course much longer.

What's up?
