Yes, but since I have not seen the problem, nor have any particular 
information to diagnose Brett's problem (beyond knowing that sometimes 
beta OS versions sometimes leave detritus that can cause problems), I 
didn't reply to Brett's message.

I see no slowness using the released 26.4, which is again why I didn't 
reply to Brett. Unless some of the other hundreds of subscribers to this 
list note a problem, if I were Brett I would assume that his problem was 
unique. No point in cluttering up the list with messages saying, "I 
don't see a problem".
