[MlMt] Key binding to filter message list by tag?

Is there a way to quickly filter the message list by a particular tag using a key binding/shortcut? I currently do a mailbox search in the UI for "Tag/Keywords include <blah>", but this gets to be tedious. (I'm looking for a method that doesn't involve creating smart mailboxes). The "mailboxSearch:" key binding selector doesn't take any arguments and "toggleFilterKey:" only supports "unread" (according to the documentation).
