[MlMt] window size

I have a probably trivial issue : when I double click on a message, 
normally I open a window of a manageable size (my settings is : *double 
click : opens the message in a new window*), so that I can read the 
email. Since about 2 weeks (I did not change anything, I use version 
6058 on Sequoia) the window that opens is about 2 inches x 2 inches, 
which forces me to enlarge it, which is tedious (or click on the green 
circle, but then it becomes too large).

I checked the settings of Mailmate (as well as those of MacOS, despite 
the fact that all other apps behave correctly)  and could not find a way 
to specify the size of this window. What am I doing wrong?
