Do you mean that when you compose a new message, you have to choose
between *hundreds* of email addresses? I also have hundreds of
addresses, but I initiate new messages (as opposed to replying) from
very few. When I have to send a new message from an unusual address,
it's easy to edit the field in the composition window.
As for working with the small field, the address pattern feature should
negate the necessity of entering a large number of characters, and if
you really must, you can paste from a text editor. I don't understand
the difficulties that you report.
