[MlMt] Tagging all emails in thread

I am not quite sure what you want either, but if the goal is to just 
have the same tag for all messages in the thread, i would locate one of 
the messages in the All Messages folder (which covers incoming and 
outgoing mails), the shift-double-click (or double-click depending on 
your preference setting) the subject to see just that thread, then 
select all messages and apply the tag you want.
