I agree it looks like a font setting issue, even makes me wonder if it is an old bitmap style font since it does not improve with “Zoom in” — are those fonts still around?

As for the “your font settings” questions… that’s a tough one. Personally I have not changed a system or MailMate font setting. So, if that’s what is meant by MY font settings then guilty as charged. From my perspective it looks more like a system or developer font decision which I have not changed. And I concur that on my (font) unchanged system the raw message text looks blurred just as originally reported. Not the biggest issue on the planet, but, now it’s been mentioned, has to be acknowledged as something that could be improved.

If Ventura 13.2 (ie., a not yet generally available upgrade) works without problem, then the solution is coming. Otherwise a developer font choice change may be the answer… in due time.
