[MlMt] MailMate and "is in" rules

I have a folder for a nonprofit I volunteer with. This folder has maybe 5000 old messages in it.

I'd like for all new messages from those people to just go to that folder and skip the Inbox.

If I set up an Inbox rule that says "if sender is in (that folder), move to (that folder)", will MailMate have a problem due to the number of messages? Or is MailMate's indexing solid enough that this shouldn't be an issue?
