[Somehow this messages was sent only to the previous correspondent and
not also to the list. Apologies.]

I am using an older version of MailMate: 1.13.2 (5673), so everything
I'm doing and saying depends on that. I have not looked at any newer
versions yet.

I have an "Options" button in the lower left of the dialog box that
comes up when I choose "Import Messages..." from the File menu. This
lets me choose a destination for the imported messages. I've only tried
a couple but expect that anything would work.

Hmmmm... on the Command->Export menu item, I have a submenu with three
items: Copy to Folder, Copy to mbox, and Select Export Folder. The last
one lets me select a location where the results of "Copy to mbox" will
end up.
