[MlMt] sent messages

in Sources, which is my normal view, i seem to have
Sent and Sent Messages, one i assume to be an iFoo
artifact.

Sent Messages has the mailbox type of Sent Messages.

neither of these two folders has any messages since
early march.

otoh, Mailboxes / Sent Messages appears to be quite
current.

i do have a smart folder which deletes all mail in
sent, junk, deleted, ... which is not within the
last two months.

what am i not understanding?
