[MlMt] reproducible hard hang in r5679

Hi, so with r5679, when replying to a rich text message (i.e. where the 
message preview is enabled by default), every time I tried to disable 
that message preview, MailMate hangs, with the spinning beachball of 
death, until I force quit it.
