[MlMt] replicating gmail conversation feature

I am trying to figure out how to replicate the "conversations"
functionality of Gmail. That is Gmail groups conversations of the same
topic together.

In MailMate, it seems like only the most recent email in a conversation
shows up in the inbox. In Gmail, even if I archived a previous message when
a reply comes in the whole conversation reappeared.

How does this work in mailmate?
