[MlMt] regression on the togglefilterkey ?

I wonder if this is not related to the issue reported in [ticket 
1697](http://freron.lighthouseapp.com/projects/58672/tickets/1697-glitches-with-smart-mailboxes)
As I posted there just yesterday, I feel that the problem got worse in 
recent releases. You might be seeing another variation of that issue 
(but it can also be sth different, of course).
