It's at least close to the “restore from disk” option. Maybe I
should change the wording?
The “restore from disk” option deletes the database index files and
then rebuilds them based on the emails in the disk cache. UIDs are
stored as metadata with the emails and the paths to the emails provide
the mailbox locations. When finished then the IMAP accounts are
synchronized and this takes care of the rest (in particular any missing
emails), but this is essentially the same as a regular sync cycle.
