[MlMt] determining whether Markdown is active

No, the question isn't whether MailMate is running, or at the front, or 
anything like that; the question is whether Markdown is active in the 
message being composed. I'm talking about the popup menu in the bar 
below the headers in the Composer window, with options that are revealed 
when you choose Format -- Show Markup, and that are described in the 
manual at 
<http://manual.mailmate-app.com/preferences.html#markup_support>.
