so I just did -d1 and after several tens of minutes (not sure how many) 
I ended up with this:

If I run mdimport directly on this file nothing is printed out though.

I can run with -d4 but my guess is that will take hours if not days to 
complete ;)

Let me know if you want me to do that or have some other suggestion!
