[MlMt] Dual Mode Layout

A toggle to three pane view and back to dual mode fixed the issue.  Now 
I'm unable to make the issue come back. :-(

So there are now two issues to try to reproduce.  This one and the one 
where the column setup goes awry and starts changing order and threaded 
vs unthreaded views.
