[MlMt] Flags with different colors (or how to quickly file messages)

I tried out the new Mail program after updating to 10.11 and found one
thing I liked.

I started to use the flags to quickly mark emails in the inbox with "Todo",
"Later", "Waiting", etc and then archiving the messages. Then using smart
mailboxes I was able to keep the inbox pretty clean.

>From what I understand MailMate has only one flag (???? have I missed
something) so how do you people do when you quickly want to clean out the
inbox and "file away" email for later?

Using keywords has been too slow for me, preferable I would like to do this
using shortcuts on my keyboard.
