[MlMt] Unread Smart Folder

My Unread Smart Folder is picking up mail from my special folders: Spam, 
Spam - Train Bad (Marked as a special use folder, Junk) and Spam - Train 
Good. In addition to the Trash folders.

I use Sieve on the server to deliver mail to many different folders. 
Thus, I'd like the Unread smart folder to show me new mail in any folder 
EXCEPT Spam, Spam - Train Bad, Spam - Train Good and Trash.

So, I edit the Mailbox and change the selector to read "None" of the 
following mailboxes and select "Spam", "Spam - Train Bad", "Spam - Train 
Good", and "Deleted Message"

But it has no effect, I still see messages from all of those folders.

Any thoughts?
