Thanks. That helps somewhat. Unfortunately, I haven't found the magic 
formula to get all HTML-formatted messages to consistently be enlarged. 
The CSS zoom property doesn't seem to have any effect (it works fairly 
well for Safari) and using transform only works on some HTML email and 
not others. This is something I'll have to play with more to see if I 
can get consistent results.

This  doesn't seem to affect the text in messages at all. I am having 
better luck using the Minimum font size setting in the Viewer tab of the 
preferences. It would be helpful for my ailing eyes if there were a 
similar control for the Composer preferences.
