Better scripting support has been on my todo list for a long time, but 
the list is very long. Internally, MailMate uses several features which 
are going to be part of the scripting system, but it's not complete yet.

Note that some features allow a bit of integration. In particular, 
“Edit ▸ Copy as Link” and the possibility of creating new messages 
using AppleScript (even with attachments although this is not documented 
very well).

I'm flattered now ;-) Integration with OmniFocus and other applications 
is certainly part of the future of MailMate. I would even claim that the 
main goal of the development of MailMate has always been the 
customizations possible using the not yet finished scripting/commands 
system. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long, but I cannot set a 
date yet.
