It was also not designed to send formatted e-mails and yet even MailMate 
does this by default…

But I'm not talking about __enormous__ attachments that too many people 
do still send.

I think on a list like this, I think enclosing screenshots of settings 
to illustrate things is legitimate. Unfortunately, even small 
screenshots such as the one I made are "large" because of modern high 
resolution screens, including phones. Even after "compressing" the file 
in an image processor, the file was still above the limit for the 
mailing list. Personally, I'd suggest 200 kB but it's Benny's decision.
