FWIW, I cannot duplicate your problem in either Widescreen or Three
Panes views with this condition in the noted version:
* Set the Layout View to Widescreen (normally Three Panes).
* Hide the Sources list(normally I show Sources, Archive, Sent Messages
lists in my sidebar).
* Quit and reopen MailMate.

My system: MailMate/6265/282BCB28-893E-51E7-891E-F3272BC540D1
15.5.0/arm64/MacBookPro18,3/10

Respectfully,
