Hi, Google Takeout exports your Gmail content as mbox messages, which is why I'm thinking about importing them into MM.
However, if mbox import is too brittle, I can keep the system running for some days and download everything from Gmail.
An annoying side effect is that MM (or IMAP?) starts with the oldest emails. So, I have to download everything before I can use the new system.
