[MlMt] editing date display field in viewer columns?

I assume this is not a custom control but a field from the API.  Those things can get remarkably complicated but the devs are still stuck doing all the plumbing if they want to present all the options to the user.

Yes, I do have a "just right" size I drag the column to.  If you adjust it just right it will pop into YMD format for the date, but strangely enough (to me) if you keep making it smaller it sacrifices DOM to keep the time.

The “Date (Relative)” column is quite a bit narrower.  I think that would take more getting used to than I want to invest.  Hooray for 4k monitors!  At least this is not a constant nuisance; I have the screen real estate for it.
