Alain,
This article explains use of iCloud alias or randomly generated email addresses as a feature of the iCloud Service.

Not sure what your goal is by using this feature.
As I said if you want to obfuscate your real address and only send from it, you will need a new setting for the SMTP. You may also need to set up the same email as Ian incoming MAP Server to fully accomplish your goal. That was my option #2.
If the alias is working properly this option may not show any incoming email at all. Hence why I said try it and see.
