[MlMt] Guide to Mailboxes.plist?

Where is the best place to look to learn better how to interpret and edit Mailboxes.plist?

It looks like mine is really messed up but I also don't understand most of what I'm looking at. There is a lot that I *think* I can get rid of, but I'm not sure. Tempted to make a clean break...

I've looked at https://manual.mailmate-app.com/customization and done some searching of the mailing list but nothing seems to provide much detail. I'd like to read and learn before I start asking too many questions.
