[MlMt] "Merged" reply

In previous versions (I am on 5817 at the moment) there was a nifty 
feature that I used from time to time, ie what I would call the 
“merged reply”: one would select multiple messages and hit reply - 
the composer would then merge the messages into one single reply.

This does not seem to work anymore. Is there are “hidden” preference 
or modifier to recover this feature ?
