Thanks. For reference, and potential update to the docs, this can be 
done like this:

`mkdir -p Library/Application\ Support/MailMate/Resources/KeyBindings`

And you can kickstart customisation based on the Gmail file like this:

`cp 
/Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/Resources/KeyBindings/Gmail.plist  
~/Library/Application\ 
Support/MailMate/Resources/KeyBindings/Custom.plist`

And open this in an editor of your choice:

`edit ~/Library/Application\ 
Support/MailMate/Resources/KeyBindings/Custom.plist`
