You mean keeping them out of the universal mailboxes? (Inbox, Sent 
Messages, etc. in the MAILBOXES list.)

The “Examples” mailbox is just a mailbox which has no mailboxes 
configured in the “Mailboxes” pane. In other words, you can create 
such a mailbox by removing all mailboxes in the Mailbox pane.
