Presently mine is at 1G (after a day) as shown in Activity Monitor.  I 
have noticed over years that MailMate’s memory consumption increases 
over time but, for me, does not get large quickly so I just restart 
every so often (weekly).  I don’t think I have ever have hit 6GB.

My equivalent ps output is

```
dgreen           21910   0.0  4.0  9805988 676924   ??  S     9:16PM  
10:26.13 /Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/MacOS/MailMate

```

You might want to add how long MailMate has been running for you to get 
to this number.  It looks like it could be a couple weeks for you.
