Hmm, I guess you could try the following hidden preference (documented
[here](https://manual.mailmate-app.com/hidden_preferences#visual-appearance)):
defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmShowQuotedTextLimit -integer 1
Providing the value `0` would hide all quoted text, but I guess that
would pretty annoying to use when viewing emails.
Let me know if it works well for printing and then maybe I can make a
separate preference which only applies to its behavior when printing.

Off topic: Please don't reply to existing mailing list emails when
creating a new subject. Actually, MailMate should warn you before
allowing you to do so. In other words, please don't ignore that warning
;-)
