[MlMt] Too many tips!

I often see the following when I move my mouse through an email 
newsletter in MailMate (see the tool tips on the right). It's worse when 
I use the three-pane view instead of opening the message in its own 
window, because the tips obscure the message more. I haven't seen this 
in other apps. It's a problem of long standing in MailMate.
