I'm not sure I understand the question. You have selected a set of 
messages and then you want to perform a search within the selected set 
of messages?

If that is the question then the answer is no. There is no way to do 
that.

*If implemented* then I think it should be done with a separate 
“Focus” action which simply reduces the set of displayed messages to 
those that are currently selected. After that, a search could be 
performed.
