</blockquote><p dir="auto">MailMate already does quite a bit more than just IMAP. The pseudo-folder views based on fast indexing, internal scripting features to move messages around, and external integration take it far above the IMAP foundation.</p>
<p dir="auto">I think the question is, could MailMate evolve to become more power by being compatible with agent-based systems? That might mean exposing some of its conceptual model through an externally accessible API.</p>
