I recently changed the font used when composing messages. Before, I was using Menlo 12pt. I switched to Helvetica 14pt. Now, when I reply to an email, the quoted text only fills 50% the width of my compose window. If I use a monospaced font to compose, the quoted text fills 100% of the compose window.

At first, I thought Helvetica is just a narrower typeface, but it seems more than that.

The problem is that the reflowing done for quoted text only really works for fixed width fonts. But this is purely a cosmetic problem in the composer itself. The email you send will not be like this. It'll wrap (or not wrap) lines correctly for both plain text and HTML parts.
