How about crowdfunding to help Benny support another person to help with an iOS version instead?

There’s one example of a pretty good app that works on MacOS and iOS - OmniFocus. They do it, so why not for MailMate in some form?

Also, still none of them supports gpg in a useable way.

The only client on iOS which supports GPG IMHO is Canary. It works so far for me, but it doesn't get close to MM.

We need a crowdfunding for Benny to tackle iOS development of MM 🚀

Oh please no...

Benny is one of the hardest working public software developers I've seen this century. It is absolutely amazing that he has not burnt out on MailMate, given the complexity and never-ending stream of special-casing imposed by the real world of email. Making a MUA as robust as MM on iOS is a huge challenge and I would fear it breaking his long running track record of keeping MM great.

I'm not convinced that it is even feasible to make a great MUA for a phone. If you start with the same design goals as a great macOS MUA, you end up with a MUA like Preside, which is highly capable but too complicated for the tiny screen.
