<p dir="auto">Firstly, sometimes I forward a long email like a newsletter, etc to a Read Later service (e.g. Instapaper) and then I want to have the (HTML) email as is in the Read later service and not the indented version.</p>

<p dir="auto">Also, sometimes I forward an email <em>for reading</em> to my wife. Then she doesn’t need indenting, but rather wants the (HTML) email as is.</p>

<p dir="auto">As mentioned before when I undo the indenting by hand, it breaks/discards the original HTML. This is not indented here, because I do not really want to <em>edit</em> the original mail.</p>
