Jonny,

I practice due caution in moving to another machine, so as to include all Rules, mailboxes, signatures and settings of other kinds that you may be using (or have used in the past and forgotten about). In short what you want to keep working on your new setup from the old.

So I’d recommend you go with the complete list specified by the developer to migrate one system to another. YMMV. Also I would put in the same version that’s working for you on the new machine and upgrade as required for a current version if you notice any anomalies.

The current Experimental build of M-M 1.14 is 6065. Downloadable from Archives, here .

For a list of settings to migrate (and a bit of a description) see either the full Manual or the Help file in the the current MM app Menu>Help>Rebuild Database>Topic in Blue, “How to Transfer MailMate Settings to another computer”. Both versions seem identical to me.

I have been running MailMate on two Macs, one of which is on most of the time, the other is only on for part of the day.
I have lots of rules for filtering and filing messages on the MM instance on the Mac that is on all of the time.

I am retiring the Mac that I leave on and will only be using the other Mac. I would like to move all of the MM rules from the Mac being retired to the other one. I looked in the message archives and found a few of different approaches.

Both Macs have all the same email accounts configured. All are IMAP (some iCloud and some Gmail). I have synchronized all of the accounts.

I this as simple as to quit MM on both machines and then just move Mailboxes.plist to the Mac I want to keep?

Or should I do something more complicated? I want a reliable method even if it involves more work.
