<p dir="auto">I see. Maybe that’s a bug, then? I tried it selecting the paragraph with q leading blank line and it worked perfectly. Now, the were unselected lines in the message above the selected portions. You can try to replicate what I did, or let Benny pursue it and report the bug.</p>
<p dir="auto">Also tried the keyboard shortcuts, ⌘’ and ⌥ ⌘’. They work the same.</p>
<p dir="auto">Just doesn’t seem to critical to me to pursue further.</p>

<p dir="auto">There is one oddity here. If the first quoted line is the first line of the message, then nothing I do collapses it. This is the case in your example, so you can try putting a blank line above the one line in your example and try it again.</p>
