<p dir="auto">Sigh, never mind. My MM notification preferences were not as I reported. Things are in fact working as expected.</p>
<p dir="auto">It would be nice to be able to control the attachment download notification separately from other MM notifications. If that's possible, I don't see how. If not, consider this a feature request. :-)</p>

<p dir="auto">I do not see the same thing when downloading a picture, with Notifications set as shown in the attachment (trying to duplicate your symptom, though not sure if I did and it’s in 12.2.1). If you can reliably duplicate it, maybe a bug report is in order as you are on a beta?</p>
<p dir="auto">In my case, had previously set Notifications off, since I keep MailMate open on a screen all the time. I get too many notifications as it is.</p>

In System Preferences->Notifications I have MM set to "Allow Notifications", have the Mail alert style set to "None", and leave the "Show in Notification Center" checkbox unchecked, yet I still receive these notifications.</p>
