<p dir="auto">I was reading through past release notes, and saw mention in the 1.7 release for treating Gmail IMAP folders as tags. I was just wondering, as I could not find this in documentation, if this feature ever got extended to other mailboxes? I.e. I have an account with ProtonMail, and its tags show up as mailboxes in IMAP. I was hoping to convert to a more standards-compliant approach (i.e. do tags with MailMate, and leave only actual IMAP folders server-side), but would like to know if there’s a way I convert existing folders into tags, or have them treated as tags, for the purposes of making moving easier (i.e. if folders are treated as <strong>tag1</strong> then I can more readily convert all <strong>tag1</strong> messages to <strong>tag2</strong> (which is a MailMate-only tag) thus removing all pseudo-tag-folders from the server side.</p>
