<p dir="auto">It has always been like this. But most email clients (including MailMate) do not display the <code style="background-color:#F7F7F7; border-radius:3px; margin:0; padding:0 0.4em" bgcolor="#F7F7F7">></code>. They automatically generate HTML with some other kind of blockquote styling.</p>
