Similarly, I have a mailbox called “Deleted Messages” right below Junk. I do not have a mailbox called “Trash”.<br>
I’m using an Exchange Server. Am I supposed to change everything to “Trash?”</p>
<p dir="auto">While on the subject of Trash, how do I configure Deleted Messages to automatically flush messages after, say, 10 days? Right now I have to do a manual select+flush when I remember. I have experimented with my folder, but not found a solution.</p>

<p dir="auto" style="margin:1em 0">With FastMail you should go with <code style="background-color:#F7F7F7; border-radius:3px; margin:0; padding:0 0.4em" bgcolor="#F7F7F7">Trash</code>. Some IMAP servers actually tell the email client which one to use by default. This is true for FastMail:</p>

<p dir="auto" style="margin:1em 0">So, in MailMate you should select the Trash folder and make sure its “Mailbox Type” is Trash. I'm quite sure you can do the same on iOS although I cannot remember exactly how :) You'll have to google it.</p>
<p dir="auto" style="margin:1em 0">After that you should move all messages in “Deleted Messages” to Trash and then delete the “Deleted Messages” mailbox.</p>
