<p dir="auto">I hate to say it but it looks like a Mailmate issue. </p>
<p dir="auto">I just did a drag & drop of a message from Mailmate to an empty folder on the desktop and got the same results you report.</p>
<p dir="auto">I then did a drag & drop of the same message from Apple Mail and it worked.</p>
<p dir="auto">So methinks it is something in Mailmate causing the problem.</p>
