<p dir="auto">OK, I think I nailed the issue. When I have:</p>
<p dir="auto"><em>Message View: Theme for plain text emails is Standard</em> <strong>AND</strong> <em>Apply to HTML emails when possible</em> MailMate ignores the signatures HTML variant and uses the markdown one instead.</p>
